Beginning with May 2008, disserations and theses found here are also available from ProQuest via PQDT Search . ProQuest maintains a database of electronic theses and dissertations for all of the major graduate displines which includes the majority of graduate institutions in the United States. Originally known as University Microfilms International (history) , this has been the central repository for thesis and dissertation publishing and archival since 1938. NOTE: The extramural ProQuest repository is only accessible from University of Tennessee campus computers or to computers connected to campus via the our VPN (Virtual Private Network) service which requires a NetID and password login.
